The Indian Navy||Artificer apprentice and senior secondary recruits for Unmarried male candidates||Latest job updates 2021 ||

 

Online applications are invited from unmarried male candidates for enrolment as sailors for Artificer apprentice(AA)and Senior secondary(SSR) for 500&2000 vacancies (approximately)respectively in the feb 2022 batch.

Education qualification

A]Artificer Apprentice:-Qualified in 10+2 examination with 60% or more marks in aggregate with maths and physics and at least one of this subject chemistry/biology/Computer science from the Boards of School Education recognized by the ministry of education, Govt. of India.

B]Senior Secondary recruits:-Qualified in 10+2 examination with maths and physics and atleast one of this subject chemistry/biology/Computer science from the boards of School Education recognised by ministry of education,Govt.of India.

Age:-Candidates should be born between 01 feb 2002 to 31 jan 2005.

Pay and allowances

During the initial training period a stipend of Rs.14,600/-per month will be admissible.On successfull completion of initial training ,they will be placed in Level 3 of the Defence pay matrix (Rs.21,700-Rs.69,100).In addition they will be paid MSP @Rs.5200/-Per month plus DA(as applicable)plus ‘X’ group pay (only for Artificer apprentice) @Rs.3600/-per month plus DA (as applicable) as under trainee and Rs.6200/- per month plus DA on successful completion of AICTE recogonsied diploma course

Promotion:- Promotion prospects exist upto the rank of Master chief petty officer-I,i.e.Level 08 of the defence Matrix (Rs.47,600-Rs.1,51,100) plus MSP @Rs.5200/- Opportunities for promotion to Commision officer also exist for those who perform well and qualify the prescribed examination and clear services selection boards

Insurance cover on contribution of Rs.50 lakhs for sailor is applicable.

Selection Criteria

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, an exception is being made in the public interest wherein approximately 10000 candidates will be called-up for written examination and PFT. The shortilisting of the candidates for written examination and PFT willl be undertaken on the basis of percentage of qualifying examination (10+2examination). The cutoff marks amy vary from state to state as vacancies have been alloted in a state-wise manner

Written test

The question paper will be bilingual(Hindi and English)and objective type.

The question paper will comprise of four questions i.e English, Science, Mathematics and General knowledge .

The standard of question paper will be that of 10+2 level and the syllabus for the Examination is available on website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.

Duration of Exam will be one hour.

All candidates appearing written examination would be subjected to PFT on the same day.

Physical fitness test(PFT)

Qualifying in Physical Fitness Test is amandatory for selection.

PFT will consists of 1.6km to completed in 7 minutes 20 squats and 10 pushups

Merit list of AA and SSR will be prepared on the basis of perfomance of written examination subjected to qualifying PFT

Fill up the form completely. Before clicking the ‘submit‘ button make sure all details filled are correct, all details required documents are scanned in original & uploaded

The application may be uploaded from common service centers(CSC) across the country, against fix fees of Rs.600+GST. This facility is entirely optional.
