Eligibility criteria

The prescribed qualification for Class XII / Graduate / Diploma holders should be from a recognized Board/University/Institute as a regular full-time course in the relevant trade/discipline with a minimum of 50% marks.

For ITI qualification in the relevant trade, eligibility shall be pass marks. Only regular full-time ITI courses recognized by NCVT/SCVT shall be considered.

Diploma / Graduation/ ITI in Branch / Subjects as specified against respective Trade/ Discipline above will ONLY be considered an eligible qualification. Diploma / Graduation/ ITI in other than specified Branch / Subjects shall not be considered.

A candidate with B.Sc. (Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry) will be allowed to apply for only one Trade/Discipline (either for code 101, 103 or 108) in a Refinery. A candidate with B.Com will be allowed to apply for one Trade/Discipline (either for code 108 or 109) in a Refinery.

Age Limit:

1. Minimum 18 years and maximum age shall be 24 years as on 31-10-2021 for General/EWS candidates. Relaxation of upper age limit to SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD candidates shall be extended as per Govt. guidelines.
2. Marksheet/Certificate issued by Board of Secondary Education for passing Matriculation (ClassX) Examination shall be the only acceptable document in support of age.

The date for possession of qualification and meeting age criteria shall be 31-10-2021.

Selection process

• Selection shall be on the basis of performance of the candidates on the basis of marks obtained by them in the written Test (of two hours duration) and meeting the notified eligibility criteria.
• Call letters for Written Test will be issued to all prima-facie eligible candidates, on the basis of details furnished in Online Application.
• Written Test will be conducted with Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) consisting of four options with one correct option.
• A candidate will have to secure minimum 40% marks in Written Test for qualifying the selection process.

Pre-Engagement Medical Fitness

Candidates selected as apprentices will have to fulfil the minimum physical fitness standard/parameters as specified in the Apprentices Act and amendments/modifications issued from time to time.

Candidates are advised to go through the ‘Guidelines and Criteria for pre-engagement medical examinations’ and satisfy themselves by meeting the fitness criteria. The guidelines in this regard are available on the website www.iocl.com /www.iocrefrecruit.in.

Finally shortlisted candidates whose documents including pre-engagement medical fitness certificates are found in order shall be issued an offer of engagement.
